I never knew this day would come. I've always loved english so much and I had a massive obsession with reading books in primary school, which set the foundation of my oh-so-very-bright english future. NOW I JUST WISH THIS SUBJECT NEVER EXISTED AND IT'S STUPID TO BE TESTED ON OUR KNOWLEDGE OF LITERATURE AND FEATURE ARTICLES AND WHATNOT. And what the hell is wrong with the English department's obsession with the oh-so-mighty shakespeare? Dude the only interesting thing I find about him is that apparently all his sonnets were written for a guy, which means there is a huge possibility he was GAY (ignores the fact that he had wife and children). I really like some of his sonnets though ^___^ THAT IS STILL NOT AN EXCUSE TO STUDY HIM FOR 6 YEARS OF OUR LIVES, IN EXTREME DETAIL. If he was still alive, he would totally hire me as his bodyguard and stalk all the crazy fans (english teachers) who force their followers (students) to study him and his works in great detail.
Anyway.... I JUST HATE IT. I can't memorise any of the quotes because my memory is unreliable and non-existent. All the themes link back to each other anyway so basically if the essay question asks me to describe 3 themes, i'll end up describing 3 that all sound the same because TO ME, isolation, friendship and loneliness ALL LINK BACK TO EACH OTHER.
Oh my god if the creative task section requires us to write a feature article i will rip up all the newspapers i see that day. Why do we need to know how to write feature articles?!?!!?! I am NOT going to become a journalist in the future and i DON'T KNOW HOW I AM GOING TO PUT GRAPHICS AND WHATEVER I NEED TO DO TO FULFIL A FEATURE ARTICLE REQUIREMENT, ONTO A PIECE OF PAPER THAT IS OUT OF 30. Sorry i'll stop tpying in caps ==' Seriously the only thing we need to know how to do in life is how to communicate, punch numbers in a calculator, walk to the train station, be nice, not discriminate and respect people. NO feature articles, NO essays NO shakespeare, NO quadratics, NO history about life in the 20th century, NO knowledge about where testes are produced and NO covalent bonds.
Oh and i really don't care about what the chemical formula for ammonia is either. So yes, I will bury my science teachers in the same hole as my english teacher. They all deserve the same fate. MWAHAHAH. I spent the whole day "studying" for english which basically involved watching the appropriation of Much Ado About nothing on Youtube (then getting distracted by other stuff on that addictive website). Wish me luck for tomorrow ><
