HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!! =) do you like my bold red font that emphasizes how lucky and awesome this day is?! Well, technically it's over some period of time (forgot how many days) ahem.. my point is, it's more awesome than the actual new year on 1st Jan cos you get money!!!!! Red Pockets for the MASSIVE WIN :D You only get to feel the maximum awesome-ness if you have heaps of family friends and relatives in Sydney with you and you get to go to gatherings and stuff. Unfortunately, my parents only have a few close family friends and no relatives in Sydney, which means I don't get as much :( HEHEH but my granny is so nice, she keeps all the red pockets that people give to me in China, so when i go back, i am super rich in Chinese money :)
Rena's family came over for an unexpected CNY celebration dinner thing that's supposed to be "big" and asian-ish, but our families both don't have many relatives or close friends in Australia, so we just spent it with each other :) I went into the kitchen after they left and BAM there is so much food left... gahhhh. Yeah leftovers for like, the next week is coming up! My dad always cooks an excessive amount of food cos he thinks that people won't get enough to eat which is always wrong. He doesn't listen, he just cooks more and more food.. aiyaa.
Anyway, I keep randomly getting presents recently!! Thank you so much for your presents, i really really love them! Especially the ones from my group (omgomgomgomgogmogmogmogmogm), debbie's present, jovian's present (o.m.g.) and bella's present! I have literally been using/wearing what you've given me as much as possible since you gave it to me, without even realising it... ehehhe.
ARGH so today was the first official day of school and I am already incredibly overwhelmed. Seriously, there is no other way to describe it!! My first lesson was like, Science or something and he didn't even give us an outline of what we were doing in the year, or any introductions. He just got straight into the point that we had an important SRP (student research project) that we had to do and then gave us the details. GREAT FIRST LESSON! Then i got another Chinese assignment which i'm not stressed out on cos it's a group thing and ... i'm not really worried about the subject of Chinese in general. THEN there was something in between but all i remember clearly was, the lesson of studies of religion. It was new to all of us and as much as i wanted to listen to the teacher ramble about how important accelerating was, and how stressful year 11 work is, how all the previous years have done "extraordinarily well" and there's a lot of pressure on us to do well as well, etcetcetc. I dozed off. HAHA surprise surprise! Yes despite having half of my coffee this morning, i still felt like i couldn't stay awake in my classes. Ahem, but i am still really interested in studies of religion! I was super super super super glad that i stayed in my english class... cos if i'd moved down, i wouldn't be able to do this epic course :(
This post is really... recount-ish. I'm trying to avoid doing many of these kinds of posts but it's become a habit of mine, i mean i have been doing recount-ish posts for the past...year or so O_O Wow i've nearly every 2 days of 2010 blogging... how incredibly sad. Actually, *checks* i've posted 291 posts... gosh that's a lot. SWIMMING CARNIVAL TOMORROW. AKA BLUDGE BLUDGE BLUDGE BLUDGE BLUDGE . I've decided to actually wear my house colour (maroon, but we can wear red) this year cos i have a completely red polo shirt from THIMUN :) It looks uh... interesting but oh well, it's not a fashion parade. That means I can't migrate to other houses with friends but I don't have their colours!! Hmph..
It's 1:30am.. time to sleep? NAAAAAAAH i'LL SLEEP ON THE BENCHES TOMORROW. have a great day with your family and friends for CNY!!!
