here are some pictures that have been floating around my iPhoto for a while that I haven't been bothered to upload yet. Cockatoo Island + Kath's 16 Party from today! *sigh* this is going to take a while. What a productive thing to do on a Sunday night where you've left your homework to the last minute and you're choosing to blog about your life instead. Hm.
Today was Kath's 16th Party and it was a really great catch up day with heaps of really good food [with consistent supply ehhhehe] but the weather wasn't very pleasing for a party. I got a bit lost on the way there (should've never relied on my memory and my stubborn-ness) and didn't do anything about it except driving around in circles and then standing outside wondering what the 3-digit code was. yes i litereally just stood there for 15mins staring at the numbers thinking... 3 digits... hmm.......
After that my parents picked me up and went to pick my brother up from the party he was at [yes, our family are quite the party animals! =.= jks we're asian] Ohmygosh a typical Grammar boy house. IT WAS THE MOST AMAZING HOUSE I HAD EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE. With its breathtaking waterfront views, glass everywhere and really nice outdoor areas, home cinema, game room, etcetfetfetfetfetfetfetfetc.... my parents wern't surprised. "Meh, its pretty good". WHAT? ITS AMAZING!! It was quite intimidating actually cos all the asian mums were having coffee/tea and I thought it was some usual asian mum thing, gossiping about their son's awesomeness etcetfc. BUT NO:
they were speaking ENGLISH to each other.. what english!?!??!?! EHHHHH???
their english made perfect sense... AND THEY HAD AN AUSRALIAN ACCENT.. NOT SOME ASIAN ONE
they were eating cake.... not like ASIAN DIM SIM OR SOMETHING
they were talking about architecture
I COULD SPEAK BETTER MANDARIN THAN THE CANTONESE PARENTS. (zomg fail much)
Anyway they weren't being particularly asian.. in fact they were those posh asian parents who talk about how they go to their children's sports games and go to cocktail parties and stuff... and they were talking to me in English and one of the parents asked me (in fail chinese) how old i was, and when I replied in chiense it was like. *awkward turtle* "WOW YOU'RE VERY GOOD AT CHINESE!" I'm sitting there thinking... wtf if i was in china they wont even understand what i'm saying but I just smiled and said, baby, i know ;)
Sorry I havent' been blogging for a while, my mum's cut down the internet at night on weekdays and although I remind myself to update it at school, I can never be bothered, and no its not because i'm actually playing attention in class :D So here's a brief summary of what happend last week:
went to another art excursion on Thursday to the NSW Art Gallery and saw some really pro HSC artworks that were selected for the ART EXPRESS exhibitions. They were really quite inspirational and I think I've got some ideas for my major for my own HSC
Friday:
3UNIT MATHS TASK!!!!!!!!!! Enough said. Don't want to talk about it. Let's just say that I've gotten used to the feeling of finishing my paper and hoping that I will get past 50% cos i'll be content with a mark close to that. You know, I really wanted you to wish me good luck before I did it. The last time you did that, I actually got a good mark. Coincidence?
CITY!!! Went with Debbie to shop for Kath's present and then had a chill sesh with some really nice hot chocolate.
Saturday:
Tennis game was cancelled... wait that's godo right? NO. If we played this week, we would've won (cos we were playing the lowest team in the division) which could've allowed us to get into the Semis!!! BUT NOOOO IT HAD TO GET CANCELLED. Iwas so pissed off.. this is the only year we haven't gotten into semis and won the grand finals!! ARGH!
Chinese School. It was ok. Really bad weather so decided to turn up in what could've been my pjys :P Meh i was comfortable and had a nice nap in class.
Dad came back from China. He bought me 0 out of the 30 items i requested. Awwww. =__=
Dnm with rena. Quite enlightening.
BTW nevermind my weird moods that are reflected on my blog. I'm not bipolar, i'm just constantly emotionally unstable, especially at night. I have a feeling that a big rant about YOUUU is going to come up, but i'll see when i'm in the mood. Also, I still need to do the Taylor Momsen rant.
Another early morning maths lesson tomorrow. Better sleep early so I can grab a coffee and slip in a chocolate croissant on the way there! Night :)
