I'm sorry guys, I really cbb talking about this today, not in the mood cos I have another story to share! I'll come back to Day 4 some other time :)
After the surprisingly amount of effort required to get my two (at the time, semi-liking each other) friends together, she just told me about how their second date went. He took her to this really nice park near her house and they sat on top of a hill admiring the view and just talking. It got pretty windy and it started sprinkling so he hugged her to keep her warm (apparently he smelt "really good".. dunno how that works) and then he kissed her. He asked her to be his girlfriend.
Normally I would be like. OMG what is this? *vomit*. But for some strange reason... I thought it was pretty cute! JUSTIN BIEBER HAS CHANGED ME. I guess I sort of learnt how to empathize a bit more. If I in my friend's position, then no words would be able to describe how happy I would feel at that moment and for like the next week.... So I take back everything I said before about how gross romantic couples are and romance in general xD Ahh i'm so happy for my friend.. what a great way to mark the ending of the first week of the holidays. All I have is a sh*tload of work ahead that I have to complete by the end of the week. I put this picture up a couple of days ago:
After thinking about that line for quite some time, I realised how true it was. It really is neraly a miracle for two people to like each other at the same time. Not too early, not too late, but precisely simultaneously sharing the same feelings towards each other. Unrequited love is painful and it is becoming so common nowadays with people thinking they're "too good" for someone or they just dont like the person who likes them. Then there are people who are too afraid to love because they think they aren't good enough or don't have the opportunity to find love in the first place. That's why, when two people like each other at the same time, I think it's so nice. So very very good ^^ Especially if they remind each other.
Today was a good day. Went formal browsing with my friends, and I have a few ideas of what I want(ish). I am trying to keep my expectations of the night low, because I don't want to get too disappointed (wow i'm such an optimistic person). The only reason why I want to go is so I can see myself, and my friends dress up and look amazing, just for one night. The opportunities to amaze ourselves and everyone else will be very limited in our lifetime ^^ Well I guess it only matters that much to people with low self esteem like me.... I gotta stop worrying about things. Hm.. things.
Anyway are you proud of me blogging daily now? Haha I have too much time on my hands... should use it to do something productive. Ok after firmly saying "no" to outings, I have concluded that I must get some work done over the weekend. The good news is, the good weather is ending today and the weekened will be raining and ugly. YAY! Actually the weather for the holidays so far has been really really good!! It's been sunny but there are still cold breezes. For people sensitive to the cold like me, it's not really ideal (cos its cold wherever there is shade) but it's better than ugly Winter weather :D
