I'm back!!! After a horrible flight that took off at 1:45am from Darwin, I finally made it into my own bed with my beautiful electric blanket and ugly, but super comfy pjs. I have many photos to share with you guys! I didn't hesitate to take heaps of photos cos the children are so incredibly photogenic!!! EVERY SINGLE PICTURE looks like a model shot cos their skin is amazing and their eyes are soo big.

Anyway i'll stop my pedo-y rant. The experience was amazing!! Apart from getting a lot out of meeting the children and actually making a difference to the kindigardens, I unexpectedly made many new friends that I wouldn't have expected to make friends with normally. We all agreed that it was a really good way to integrate all the different groups together and have the opportunity to discover what we all had in common. LOL it was quite interesting, i made a new friend because we both had "girl problems" and couldn't go snorkling so we spent a whole bus ride complaining about being a woman and then we listened to my ipod and talked about black music.

Things I never want to see again:
  • spaghetti bolognese which I had 7 times....
  • baked beans (will expand on this later)
  • insect repellent. I had to put on thick layers every morning cos my blood is so juicy for mosquitos... yumyum
  • sunscreen.. *shiver*
  • green paint
  • giant water bottles we had to carry around to make sure we didn't get dehydrated

I'm missing East Timor already :'( The children are actually the CUTEST KIDS  I HAVE EVER MET IN MY LIFE. After each lesson they'd all sing songs really enthusiastically and then line up to say goodbye to us. Some of them even kissed our palms when they left which was so cute!!

When we went to the markets, I went crazy and bought something from every shop I walked past. Literally. Fortunately, I had HEAPS of money left over so I could afford to go on a shopping spree, especially if i'm most likely not going to visit East Timor ever again waaah :'( I bought many bags, bracelets and a tablecloth which I will never use but bought it just for the sake of it anyway.

My favourite is this kid:
i'm pretty sure he gelled up his hair just for me
just sayin :)

i also love him <3

i think i made him cry :(

Anyway, as soon as I landed in Sydney I got a cold. I miss the sun waaah :( Now i'm sick and freezing and my skin has weird crap all over it because either a) my irregular eating time of malaria tablets or b) the sudden change in temperature my skin couldn't cope with. Either way, my face is even more unacceptable. I have restricted myself to go to one outing this week!! My good friend's birthday party on Friday will be the only time I go out this week and then I will have the rest of the week to catch up on some really overdue work! Mwahahha.......that is if I can stop watching my asian drama which I have yet again gotten addicted to.

Time to eat some medicine, goodnight!

I have crossed oceans of time to find you.
