The

Weeks
Of
My
Life
(so far)

So that's basically the answer i've been giving people who greet me with "HOW WAS CHINA?!?!?!?". I always struggle whenever I come back from the holidays, and people ask me how my trip was. It gets a bit tedious after 10 people have asked me on the same day and I end up giving a really lame answer to the 11th person. But Exchange is definitely THE MOST FUN thing to tell people about. Whenever I tell people the highlights of the trip, or whatever I can remember at the top of my head (very limited info), I kind of get frustrated. No, i'm not an impatient b*tch who just can't wait to end the conversation, but i get frustrated because I feel like my pathetic words aren't doing the actual amazingness of the trip justice! How can I possibly put into words all the strong friendships I've formed, the amount of fun i've had, the countless of times i've nearly cried laughing and all the really, really, really ridiculous decisions we've made that gave us the most pricesless memories in the end.

For example? We signed up to sing on stage in front of an audience of 100+ people in a shopping centre in the main district of TianJin. Then we went on TV. Then we got makeup done by a makeup artist. Then we got given gifts. All for having FUN! Oh, i'll just leave the part where we sang really really badly to a very unfamiliar backing track out. Not to mention Sam and Eve did their PE salsa dance on stage and a massive audience gathered around to watch. PE FOR THE WIN!

Another example? We became the talk of (omschool after we became famous on Chinese Facebook because  one of us (shall be unnamed) sent a love letter as a joke to the hottest guy in the school. They didn't know, or believe that it was a joke. YES, EVERYONE KNEW US I'M NOT EXAGGERATING. The *ahem* person even had a hate group made because of her HAHAHAH.

For those who were wondering, yes i kept my "Stalker Jo" reputation overseas as well and stalked my hubby-to-be every night after I found out he lived in my building. YES i "did the laundry" every 10minutes and went up to his level and walked around with an empty laundry basket back and forth. The laundry was coincidentally on the same level as the one he lived in.. IT'S TOTALLY FATE OMG <3 LET ME INTRODUCE MY AMAZING HUBBY-TO-BE:

  • HE IS 191CM TALL omg so attractive
  • he was chemistry representative last year!!!
  • HE IS FIRST IN HIS CLASS
  • HE WAS THE MAIN MALE ACTOR IN HIS CLASS MOVIE WHICH WON THE AWARD FOR BEST MOVIE
  • HE WON THE "best couple" award in the movie.. >.> (i totally suited him better in the movie FYI)
  • he plays tennis the best out of the group
  • he's really pro at basketball apparently (HE IS SO TALL THAT'S WHY)
  • he is super smileyyyyyyy ^^
  • HE IS NOT A PLAYER AT ALL apparently he distances himself from girls (NO HE IS NOT GAY)
Let me tell you the SUPER ROMANTIC (LOL MORE LIKE THE STALKER STORY) story of how we met. Our class has PE lessons with another class (his class) and I was just observing the tennis lesson when suddenly my eyes met with his. He was playing by himself against the wall while others were practicing with the teacher. I was confused as to why he wasn't practicing with the others but i kinda just ignored it and watched him play. I think he felt uncomfortable (pfft, i was only staring for like 10 mins) so he kept giving me awkward smiley glances. For some strange reason, I could FEEL some sort of MANLINESS to him...... he wasn't good looking, he had glasses and typical asian spiky grass hair but I noticed he was really tall. It was literally love at first sight <3 I didn't have the guts to talk to him so i kinda just left... wahhhh *sad asian drama music plays* 1 week past and I didn't see him around the school. I saw him at PE lessons again and he was playing basketball instead of tennis this time with 1 other guy while everyone else was playing teams on teams. Why is he always so lonely? The weekend passes and I see him around at school during the week! AHHAHAHAH STALK TIME HAHAHAHHAHA. I finally managed to have conversation with him one day and I found out his name was ROGER!!!!!!!!!! ONE NIGHT (i will never forget that day), I was taking out the rubbish (i dont know why i do that, people come and collect it anyway) and I saw my friend outside so I started talking to him. He said something funny so I laughed and consequently looked onto the side and BAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMM HE WAS THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I caught sight of his blue windbreaker jacket (i recognised it from stalking him mwahaha) and my mouth was like :O I quickly took out my phone and took really blurry pictures of his back (sigh... me and backs) but he was walking too fast (long legs, long strides!) so I had .. 0 decent pictures :( :( :( I had the BIGGEST FLIP OUT. How could I possibly not have noticed that he lived in my building?! HE LIVED IN THE SCHOOL?!?!?!? I've been living in the stupid building for 3 weeks already and I had NEVER seen him before. I ran upstairs, while having some sort of asthma attack cross with  a stroke and Carrie came to my rescue. She took a hilarious video of me stalking him but that's another story. Anyway after I realised that he lived in my building, I asked my stalking assistants to find out which level he lived on and which room. I also asked another source about his personal information and that's when I found out how truly amazing he was....I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT HIM!!!!!!! HE IS SO SMART OMG <3 I liked him not for his looks OR personaility.......why the hell did I feel a deep connneeccttiuioonnnnnnnn with him then?! He must've been my hubby in my past life <3

Anyway after that, the other Exchange girls decided to RUIN MY CHANCES WITH HIM by calling out "ROGER ROGER ROGER ROGER ROGER" everytime we saw him!!! Haha I kid, they weren't ruining anything, they were just unintentionally scaring the crap out of him. When I found out which room number he lived in, I did an evil cackle with a Mr Burns hand gesture and plotted ways I would find him at night, BY HIMSELF. HAHAHHAHA. Not in that way, jeez =__= I walked up to his level litereally every 10 minutes with an empty laundry basket so IF he ever sees me, I could just say i've been doing laundry ^^ I swear, there's this one guy who talks in the corridor on the phone every night and he sees me walking back and forth ALL THE TIME. He gives me the weirdest looks when I walk past him...

Anyway like 4 days before we left, he CONSTANTLY  avoided us after he found out we were just creepy and retarded. He didn't even say Hi when we called out his name anymore! SO DEVO. One morning, I saw him and Carrie convinced me to follow him and have a conversation with him at least before we left. I followed him up the stairs and said Hi but he WALKED EVEN FASTER and put his hand behind him as a "wave". HE WAS RUNNING UP THE STAIRS. MY HEART BROKE i promise I wasn't trying to be scary..............:'( *tear* I was so sad for teh rest of the day.........*tear*

But it all ended well ^^ At the movie awards night thing, it was really crowded and we were all heading out and for some reason I found him in front of me. LOL JK i followed him :) I tapped him on the shoulder and congratulated him. To my surprise, he didn't run away (maybe cos he couldnt..) and he even accepted the koala keyring I beautifully presented to him! (it was yellow, just like his last name HAHAHA but i didnt tell him that cos i learnt how to NOT be creepy).

 hubby in suit... MASSIVE DROOOL
k he doesnt have a handsome face but THAT DOENST MATTER!!

Wow this blog post is really long. Anyway the whole point of that story was, I didnt' stop stalking and pedoing (lots of pics of babies mwahah). Also, I will find my hubby a couple of years later and we will get  married and have really tall children ^^ I'm pretty sure he got even more scared of me when he saw me pull out my big ass DSLR and my face went *DING* when I saw him LOL. I DONT CARE IF HE HATES ME

So yeah ,China was really so amazing and I remember completely breaking down on the last 2 days and crying so much that I couldn't stand looking in the mirror anymore. Seriously, the reflection was terrifying. I'M NOT JUST SAYING THAT! Carrie and I both agreed that we didn't look our best on the last two days because of the state we were in. I was so devastated when we left... the friends we made were so genuine and nice, like, ARGH I CAN'T EXPLAIN!! I really wish I could bottle up memories and share them with people so they can experience it for themselves and understand what I am trying to express through meaningless words.

I'm so glad to be back in Australia though! On the day I came back, we went out to one of my favourite restaurants and I ate steak for the first time in what seemed like forever... oh my.  But thank goodness there were potatoes in China or i really don't know how I could've survived :S I took pictures of the food (trust) but i'll upload them later. So tired aiyaaaaaaaa! I will blog as much as possible these hols, thanks for reminding me Anita! LOL night :) :) :)

I have crossed oceans of time to find you.
